What does "permanent pension" mean?
A permanent pension is when a person, for irreversible health reasons, is no longer able to work and receives financial support from the state. In Italy, this type of pension can be paid through:
Disability pension (total incapacity for work)
Ordinary disability allowance (AOI) (working capacity reduced by at least 2/3)
Attendance allowance
100% civil disability pension
The duration may be temporary or permanent, depending on the severity of the condition and the INPS's medical-legal assessment.
